We are Katy & Ross MacLean.

Katy does the Celtic & Viking carvings, and Ross is the contact for sales.  Katy makes a living selling her carvings.  Our business is just the two of us, and we sell anything we make.

We live in the mountains of Floyd County Virginia where we have built our home.  We have a few acres with a lot of apple trees, a creek, and a couple of ponds. We plan on doing several stucco sculptural works to accent our landscaping.

We have learned of and researched Celtic and Viking styles through a group called the Society for Creative Anachronisms, Inc (SCA). In the SCA we are known as Shrew and Sneaulf, and are both recognized for our artwork. Our heraldic devices in this group picture of a shrew for Shrew, and a tree for Sneaulf, thus we get our name: Shrewwood.

We're selling more horns wholesale these days, and so have less time to be on the road at shows.  If you are interested in carrying our carved horns or handles or other Shrewwood art, please contact us.
